Why would my site warrant use of Directional Fracturing or Injection?

Source zone remediation and minimizing the potential migration of a contaminant plume are concern of our clients. PFI addresses these concerns using a proprietary directional nozzle which achieves 90° lateral distribution. The injection point can be injected in a single direction, targeting under structures or at the perimeter of the plume or rotated to multiple directions to attain radial distribution. Preferential pathways are minimized in heterogeneous lithologies due to the targeted injections.

Vertical distribution is accomplished by lifting the nozzle between injection depths. Depending on the geology type, this vertical spacing can be as minimal as one foot or as great as three feet. In all technologies, a bottom-up approach is typically conducted to take advantage of the overburden pressures of the existing formation which help achieve the maximum radius.
